Enrolling in KET Distance Learning
What is KET?
Kentucky students that formerly would have enrolled in KET courses provided through the Kentucky Virtual High School may now enroll in KET courses through the non-facilitated option.
Only school personnel may register students, as the school is responsible for granting the course credit. Students need to contact their guidance counselor, principal, or virtual school administrator to register. If your local school does not have information about our classes, you may contact KET at 1-800-333-9764.
The school is responsible for designating a school contact who will be a liaison between KET and the student. The main responsibility of the school contact is to receive tests, proctor test taking, and send tests back to KET.
Credit is granted and posted by the student's high school as KET does not grant credit.
Course tuition fee is for schools that will NOT be providing a facilitator to administer the course.
- $200 per one-credit course or two-semester AP course
* The above fee includes a $25 non-refundable course administration fee.
All tuition and course materials fees are paid to KET, including student guide materials, instructional CDs or DVDs, and Virtual Physics Labs© software fees. Individual schools will need to directly purchase the necessary textbooks for students.
Engaging Instruction & Media
Students learn through lessons via the web site, on CD-ROM, or DVD. They apply their learning through interactive activities on the course web sites, and through telephone or skype tutoring sessions for German courses, and the upper level Latin courses.
Personal Student Attention
Our faculty provides a personal approach to learning through direct instruction, support, and feedback via phone, skype, and email.
