  2. Linguäs exsecxa et sepone.
  3. Alaudäs abice.
  4. Lingäs mitte in sartaginem cum paulö olei et frige cito.
  5. Eäs traice ad patellam calida.

Quattuor sufficit.

English

  1. Get 1,000 larks.
  2. Remove their tongues and set aside.
  3. Discard the larks
  4. Put the tongues in a pan with a little oil and saute quickly.
  5. Transfer to a hot platter.

Serves four.
